The Brief
Marcos Poolhall approached us to create a distinctive Cyber Pool Hall experience within their Edinburgh venue. The goal was to move beyond a standard pool hall fit-out and introduce a stronger visual identity that would stand out in a competitive leisure market.
The brief focused on delivering a space that felt immersive and contemporary, while still functioning as a practical, hard-wearing environment for regular public use. It needed to enhance the atmosphere around the pool tables, encourage longer dwell time, and integrate technology in a way that felt considered rather than decorative.
Our Solution
We delivered a complete build, transforming the space into a cohesive Cyber Pool Hall environment through set construction, lighting design and integrated technology. The design approach centred on creating a bold, futuristic feel while keeping the layout intuitive and comfortable for players.
Custom set elements were introduced to frame the pool tables and define the space. Finishes and detailing were chosen to reinforce the cyber theme without overwhelming the practical requirements of the venue. Materials were selected with durability in mind, ensuring they could withstand frequent use.
Lighting played a key role in shaping the atmosphere. We incorporated programmable lighting features to add depth and energy to the room, allowing the environment to shift from relaxed daytime play to a more vibrant evening setting. Technology was integrated discreetly, supporting the overall experience without cluttering the space.
Throughout the project, coordination between fabrication, installation and technical setup ensured that the final result felt unified rather than pieced together.
